Latex Balloons
The most common types of latex balloons include “pastel”, “metal”, pearl” and “crystal”:
- “pastel” balloons are matte and offer the most diverse palette of colors;
- “metal” and “pearl” are distinguished by shiny, metalized surfaces;
- Balloons “crystal” are transparent and have the brightest balls with saturated colors.
Pastel balloons are regarded as the most durable – the reality is that metalized and crystal balloons stretch less in comparison to “pastel” balloons and their lifespan is about a third shorter. However, the appearance of balloons can be seriously affected by high temperature – in hot weather, a clear balloon’s “crystal” gradually becomes cloudy “metal” becoming less shiny, whereas “pastel” remains in its original look the best.
Latex balloons are available in a range of sizes. Manufacturers set them in inches 5′ (12 cm), 9′ (22 cm), 12′ (30 cm), 14′ (35 cm), 16′ (40 cm), 18′ (45 cm) and 42 inch balloons https://balloons.online/balloon-sizes/42-inch-balloons/.
The smaller 5″, as well as the smaller 9″ balloons, are usually used to make garlands, as well as for decorations (for example, they are used to fill the boxes of surprise). These balloons are not filled with helium since it has a short life span and the balloon can quickly deflate and then deflate.
The regular dimensions of 12-” or 14″ balloons are the most often used. These are balls without a pattern, balls with a pattern, and balls with confetti. The color palette is most extensive, and the balloons can be inflated with both helium and air (for decorative purposes) and are also used to create garlands.
Larger diameter balloons of 16″ and 18″ are incredibly powerful in lifting, which allows you to add garlands, tassels, and stickers as decorations. A good example of sixteen-foot (40 cm) balloons are Golden Glitter confetti balloons, 18′ (45 cm) balloons are balloons of a large size with no pattern.
Three-foot (70-80 inches) Meter balloons measure 70-80 cm, which is the biggest (example). Contrary to what they are called, balloons for meters are usually filled to 70-80 centimeters because otherwise, they will not be able to fit into the doorway and are also more vulnerable to a variety of external influences as well as mechanical harm (the more inflated the balloon, the thinner it’s a wall). Such balloons can be both transparent and opaque using various kinds of confetti. They are decorated using inscriptions, and garlands, and upon their foundations are created large figures from balloons with Helium, such as cats, dogs, a unicorn, an elephant, or a giraffe.
Agate Balloons
Agate balloons come with amazing patterns that look like designs of semi-precious stones. They are handmade from transparent, colorless 12″ latex balloons using a special technique with acrylic paint. The pattern is never repeated, and it is always distinctive. Be assured that even if a balloon will burst, the paint will not stain anything around, as we require balloons time to dry completely before delivery. Only our workshops could be in danger while balloons are drying =) That’s why these balloons must be ordered at least one day before delivery or self shipping.
They’re perfect for photoshoots, unique gifts, or decorating fancy parties. But, due to the advanced technology used in their manufacture that they use, the flight time that balloons can fly Agate balloons is just about 1-3 days. And if it is important for you that the balloons can fly for a prolonged time, you should probably consider different options.
Confetti Balloons
Confetti balloons can be described as a form that is clear latex balloons (“crystal”) with the addition of confetti manually. The confetti could be metallic or paper, in different sizes and shapes, in the same color, or with different shades. Confetti with different sizes, shapes, and colors can be mixed in one balloon. These balloons are stunning and perfect for photoshoots, unforgettable decorations, or gifts for party decorations, they are guaranteed to bring lots of positive feelings!
Balloons that have confetti tend to travel a bit less than normal balloons since the confetti is a source of extra weight for the balloon and also reduces the lifting capacity. In addition, as with the other crystals with transparent surfaces, latex oxidation is the most evident in the confetti balls: over time, the balls get more opaque, cloudy, and lose their luster (you can learn more about the reasons for this here). Under normal conditions (at normal indoor temperature), this process isn’t too slow, but in summer, under the pressure of high temperatures and exposure to sunlight it speeds up significantly, which is why on hot summer days when the balls are intended to be used outdoors, you should be prepared that they will lose their transparency, and it is possible to opt instead of opaque balloons in case you aren’t willing to risk it.
There are two methods to make these balloons. the HiFloat technique (so the confetti are equally distributed across inside the balloon and the balloon itself flies longer than without treatment) and without HiFloat treatment (then the confetti are located on the bottom of the balloon and can move freely within the balloon, However, the flight of these balloons is only for 12 hours).
Foil Balloons
Foil balloons last for a longer time than latex balloons. They don’t require treatment with HiFloat because their materials do not permit the molecules of helium to escape the balloon. Foil balloons slowly deflate, without losing their attractive look, and if used carefully, they can be inflated again by air (yourself using tubes) or helium! They are also perfect for personalizing messages using stickers because on their smooth surface the stickers are evenly applied and remain on for a longer time.
Unadorned balloons with no pattern may be in forms like heart, star or circle, crescent, 3D spheres, crystals, Palm branches, cubes, and so on. They look fantastic when paired with latex balloons and confetti balloons!
There are many shaped foil balloons with various designs, as well as “walking balloons” that are filled with helium however, they don’t rise into the air thanks to small invisible weights – they start “walking” in their daily lives from the smallest air movement.
